Alrich looked up with a very grim expression apparent on his face. "Your optimism lacks just one key fact thrown in." He leaned his head back against the wall and shut his eyes. "The guards call it the Pit of Maralax. The place where bad slaves go, and are never seen again." He grunted. "And whatever is in there is likely a knight's worst nightmare."
"Or his greatest dream!" exclaimed a valiant Robert. "I want to fight the evil, and keep it away!"
"Youth," growled Alrich. "The old should feel fortunate that they've survived the trial of stupidity."
